I cant download or open more than a couple of pages before it crashes.

Ive subscribed to AM ever since the first issue years ago under the great David A. Davis, Jr. This has long been, in my opinion, the premier automotive enthusiast publication with in-depth reviews, unique perspectives, and intelligent commentary and reporting on the automotive industry. Jean Jennings continued The magazine in the tradition of David A., while adding her own stamp along the way. Then the digital iPad version came along, and great grew into superb with high levels of interactivity at every "turn of the page." Unfortunately that all ended recently with the firing of most of the staff and the particularly crude destruction of the digital publication, changing it into a cheap scan of the magazines pages. Wow, what a huge step backward. Now, with iOS8, the app has become entirely unusable. It crashes just a few pages in, and even after a delete and reinstall, it still crashes rendering the app useless. Ten "The Enthusiast Network?" Fire the people we all have grown to love, take a massive tech step backward by removing any trace of interactivity, and then fail to support the iPad app, or even to address the major crashes that render it useless. You may want to review that word "Enthusiast."

First they went from an interactive app to a PDF scan. Now they update the app after the release of iOS 8 and NOTHING works. Maybe this is their ploy to completely break the app so when the PDFs come back, we all jump for joy. This is absolutely terrible.

since downloading IOS 8 I have not been able to down load the latest issue. Also months ago the on line issue had great interactive pictures. More recent issues were nothing more then a copy of the print issue.

Have not been able to get past The Enthusiast Network screen. Totally useless until I can.

The app recently got severely downgraded from a lovely well developed interactive digital publication to mere scans of the print edition.it is so bad they dont even bother to stitch the pages together properly. The publisher has hit upon rough times and several key editors and contributors have been let go. But digital is the future so its puzzling why they downgraded. Stick to the print issue and dont waste your money.

Nasty design, may be for toddlers with vision like Superman!!!!, not for mature audiences who will need a microscope to read the magazine.

Once you get the magazine downloaded, viewing it with the app works well. The problem is that periodically the app seems to forget you purchased a subscription if you bought it through the Apple App Store. There is no excuse for this. This is a problem that should have been solved by Apple and the app developer. There are work arounds but the problem shouldnt exist in the first place.

Pointless App if you never get past the opening screen!

I echo the prior comments about the crippling of this once gorgeous app and the new content format. I have subscribed to the digital edition of Automobile for quite a while. The old digital content, with its formatting specifically for the iPad, was a delight to use. The interactive content was a thing of beauty. The new content is simply a scan of the print edition. It forces you to zoom and scroll around each page in order to read it. So not only is it uglier, but harder to use. And it also has all the ads intact. I am cancelling my subscription and urge others not to bother with this app. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

No better than a PDF of the magazine. Deeply flawed. Tired of resizing to see the print and waiting for it to become readable after resizing. Buy the newsstand version or another magazine.

It is terrible that they have moved from a nice app to this PDF scan atrocity. I had to get rid of my digital version and only do the print version now.I really hope they listen to subscribers reviews and go back to an iPad specific magazine app.it was so much fun to have the quality before but currently it is no good at all.

Absolute best overall auto magazine today! If one doesnt need race car news, but appreciates knowledgeable writers, this is your top shelf choice!

I wish I could give them zero stars. They are absolutely awful. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. I am an all access subscriber and the app constantly asks me to sign in as an all access subscriber despite doing it every month. Seems like they are trying to just wear me down and get me to buy the electronic version. STAY AWAY!
