Sad Loss to Automotive Enthusiasts Everywhere
Ive subscribed to AM ever since the first issue years ago under the great David A. Davis, Jr. This has long been, in my opinion, the premier automotive enthusiast publication with in-depth reviews, unique perspectives, and intelligent commentary and reporting on the automotive industry. Jean Jennings continued The magazine in the tradition of David A., while adding her own stamp along the way. Then the digital iPad version came along, and great grew into superb with high levels of interactivity at every "turn of the page."
Unfortunately that all ended recently with the firing of most of the staff and the particularly crude destruction of the digital publication, changing it into a cheap scan of the magazines pages. Wow, what a huge step backward. Now, with iOS8, the app has become entirely unusable. It crashes just a few pages in, and even after a delete and reinstall, it still crashes rendering the app useless.
Ten "The Enthusiast Network?" Fire the people we all have grown to love, take a massive tech step backward by removing any trace of interactivity, and then fail to support the iPad app, or even to address the major crashes that render it useless. You may want to review that word "Enthusiast."
