It is a Good App
All downloaded issues were erased and when trying to download them again, the app asks to close, reopen and try again. No success though
One of the best car magazine apps! * Allow free iPad access for already hard copy subscriber! (which Car and Driver doesnt offer). * Beautiful layout with high resolution graphs, much more interactive than hard copy magazine (I can watch video for most of the stories) * Much less ads in the Apps than hard copy * Only drawback is the size of the magazine (368MB for a single month)... I got only 32GB iPad so cant save as many as I can...
Bought the latest issue and it was fine. Got the update and the pictures and stories are not loading properly so much so that several stories are unreadable! Very frustrating because there is no way to contact support.
Content and everything is great but the "magazine" works too much like a complex app and less like a magazine. Tons of scrolls and actions and gestures and hidden buttons to reveal more info and blah blah blah... Too complicated. Tone down the show-off presentation stuff about it all and just let me turn the pages!
This magazine is a joy to read. It is great that it is moving away from a boring straight replication of a magazine. If I want to just turn pages, I will pick up a real magazine. An e-magazine must offer a more varied experience and Automobile does just that. Great job done!
Landscape only is not making the best use of the iPad. Lack of memory for where you left off last is also very disappointing. There needs to be better use of video and hyperlinks too. The stars are all attributed to the articles and the subscription model through the print form including the digital.
Ive subscribed since the beginning to the iPad version as it was interactive. Now theyve completely cheapened the magazine to poorly scanned copies of the print version. You just lost a customer!
Why did you change the format? This is worse than the paper copy. Now I have to zoom in to read the small text, and there are no hi-res images. Fix this immediately and re-release the latest edition.
Excellent mag. Have first issue and IPad version is better.
Used to be a fantastic app. Now its nothing but a low quality scan. No stars.
Cant sign in, repeatedly freezes, useless.
This app is just a scanned copy of Automobile Magazine. The November issue contains 112 pages which over 40 of them are adds. Save your money!
This app took my money and will not download. I went to the developers site and could not access support. This app is garbage. Stay away.
Good!
I strongly suggest the programmers take the time to look at the competition (particularly Zinio), when running this app on an iPhone. This app has a terrible interface. I suspect that it hasnt been updated since 1.0. 1). Zinio provides a handy "Text" button at the beginning of a story. I can read the text for everything in the article, at my own favored font-size. Pure luxury. 2). In circumstances that dont allow for text to be brought forth in that easy way, Zinio is predictable when double-tapping and using two fingers to zoom in. THIS app goes wild, and launches you in weird directions. Ick. In conclusion: digital media has long-since won the fight against dead-tree technology. Can we please act as if this is the case? Soon?
Outdated and badly in need of an update. Does not use the full screen of an iPhone 6. Will not renew because of this horrible glorified PDF viewer. Sad missed opportunity for digital publishing.
I purchased this with the print subscription for $18. Does not work at all! There is not support or solution. My only solution is to reject the charges to my card.
Automobile Magazine app is a colorful PDF of the printed version. I only use the app if I have forgotten (such as today) to pack the printed version. Otherwise I prefer to read the printed version.
Another unhappy coustomer. Doesnt work under iOS 8. Crashes repeatedly.
