Pros and cons of Automobile Magazine app for iPhone and iPad

Automobile Magazine app good for

One of the best car magazine apps! * Allow free iPad access for already hard copy subscriber! (which Car and Driver doesnt offer). * Beautiful layout with high resolution graphs, much more interactive than hard copy magazine (I can watch video for most of the stories) * Much less ads in the Apps than hard copy * Only drawback is the size of the magazine (368MB for a single month)... I got only 32GB iPad so cant save as many as I can...
This magazine is a joy to read. It is great that it is moving away from a boring straight replication of a magazine. If I want to just turn pages, I will pick up a real magazine. An e-magazine must offer a more varied experience and Automobile does just that. Great job done!

Some bad moments

All downloaded issues were erased and when trying to download them again, the app asks to close, reopen and try again. No success though
Bought the latest issue and it was fine. Got the update and the pictures and stories are not loading properly so much so that several stories are unreadable! Very frustrating because there is no way to contact support.
Content and everything is great but the "magazine" works too much like a complex app and less like a magazine. Tons of scrolls and actions and gestures and hidden buttons to reveal more info and blah blah blah... Too complicated. Tone down the show-off presentation stuff about it all and just let me turn the pages!
Landscape only is not making the best use of the iPad. Lack of memory for where you left off last is also very disappointing. There needs to be better use of video and hyperlinks too. The stars are all attributed to the articles and the subscription model through the print form including the digital.
Ive subscribed since the beginning to the iPad version as it was interactive. Now theyve completely cheapened the magazine to poorly scanned copies of the print version. You just lost a customer!
Why did you change the format? This is worse than the paper copy. Now I have to zoom in to read the small text, and there are no hi-res images. Fix this immediately and re-release the latest edition.
